That was indeed a heart-wrenching segment wherein Team One is approached by the woman who believed that she would not be able to take care of the baby.

Parker had then sprung into action thereby trying to arrive at a consensus, but then the baby rightfully belonged to the adoptive family!

Perhaps, it was the yearning of the young man to have a family of his own that coaxed him to take the corrugated path!

In the end, he commits suicide as he was unable to bear the separation with his child!

That also showcased the human face of the SRU that tried to overcome a complicated scene not only by tactics but by using emotional intelligence too!

This police-procedural (Flashpoint) is leagues ahead than its counterparts in the same genre that either beat around the bush, or are too clichéd to be given that much of space and time in our drawing-rooms!

No, I certainly don’t intend to offend anyone’s sensibilities out there, but then factoids are one thing one cannot shrug off.

With all this, there is a feeling that I should instantly go for a Flashpoint download and experience the intense situations that are showcased in this small screen offering!

As this special wing of the Canadian Metropolitan Police Force, the Strategic Response Unit (SRU), surges ahead with its feats and accomplishments, I’m reminded of that particular installment that was aired in the third season.

When the team rescues a teenager and a baby form a hostage crisis, they realize that the teenager boy is far from being normal!

It doesn’t take too much time for Team One to gauge that the teenager actually happens to be a serial killer.

The sense of teenagers going berserk, which came with the episode, gave an uneasy sensation, even though it was triggered by fiction! When Ed, Sam, and Wordie trail the boy through the passages of sewer, they realize that he’s not only a psychopath, but also suffers from the Asperger’s Syndrome.

I was keen to watch the circumstances that turned this mentally disturbed teenager into a serial killer! I must admit that I wasn’t able to sleep well that night! It drove home a point that there are certain loopholes in our social framework that compel individuals to take up cudgels against the system.

Flashpoint rightly made a point there!

A case suddenly becomes high-profile, when those belonging to the elite class are targeted by criminals.
Then in the current age of 24×7 media glare, there is this impounding pressure to nab culprits and solve a case with utmost alacrity. Something that adds on to the TRPs, or if you allow me to use a rather harsh word, ‘saleable quotient’ of such stories!

Ah! Not that after having a sufficiently good nap, I’m in a mood to tear anyone apart; the idea just flashed across my mind. Perhaps, you have already got an inkling that I’m referring to the very initial segment from the aegis of the second season that revolved around the kidnapping of a CEO!

Tune in to Flash Point episodes and catch up with this part, when the members of the SRU (Strategic Response Unit) had to spring into action, to face yet another crisis of sorts that threatened dignity of their organization.

Well, I’m yet to conclude if this particular installment drew its inspiration from the global economic downturn in any way! Jokes apart, it’s time to focus on the case!

Three men kidnap a CEO to whose Mortgage Society they owed money, and couldn’t repay the same!

I get that feeling of gooseflesh till date, whenever I seem to think about it. While Ed and Sam dealt with the shooters, Parker strived to arrive at a consensus with the man, who had proclaimed to set himself on fire on live television!

Few have the ability to deal with precarious situations such as these. And if it’s about crisis management, this team is simply the best, as there cannot be any other alternative to them!

After all, criminals or malfeasances for that matter don’t elicit traditional approach, it’s doing away with the cliché and adapting the nouveau methodology that segregates the SRU from any other investigating force!

And rightly so!

To be a member of the cast of a reputed show is certainly a factor to flaunt about!

After all, you don’t get such opportunities fortnightly, right??

There are professional reasons for actors becoming an intrinsic part of a tableau, but Cle certainly is a man different from the crowd.

His ecstasy is evident in the very visage the actor bears these days! It is full of never seen before gusto and enthusiasm! May be you have another reason to go for a download of this police-procedural and see his impact, who wants to make a significant contribution to his constabulary.

Mr. Bennett welcomes the pressure that comes tagged along with any new profile, and happily acknowledges the fact that he has worked with the present cast earlier as well. The best thing is that the show would go around shooting in Toronto that happens to be the hometown of Cle.

Ah! That means the show certainly is nothing less than a bag filled with goodies for Mr. Bennett!

His first interaction with the viewers on small screen would see him trying to break through the jinx inflicted by a stubborn momma on Valentine’s Day.

Well, I can very well relate to that gaiety on your faces!

Let me share something with you guys. Every time I used to go for the Flashpoint download there was this feeling of responsibility, dawning upon me to contribute towards the country!

When I look back at the sojourn of the past three seasons, the journey has been an illustrious one, with officers emerging triumphant after every crest fall that came their way.

The one that still lingers in my memory is the penultimate one in the third season, when an entire racket related to credit card skimming was busted by Team One; culprits being finally nabbed and directed to their fateful destination.

With the thought of what-next gripping all lengths of my mind, I guess the only plausible solution lies in taking a plunge into the erstwhile batches, as I wait anxiously for a fresh season replete with more chivalrous antics of the SRU!
