Hugh Dillon is a Canadian musician and a very popular actor. From 1987 to 2003, Hugh served as the leading singer for ‘The Headstones’, the Kingston hard rock band. The band had been one of the most successful Canadian bands of 1990s. In 2003, after the end of The Headstones, Hugh formed his own band Hugh Dillon Redemption Choir, an indie rock band. Their first album ‘The High Co$t of Low Living’ got released in 2005. The second album of the band, entitled ‘Works Well with Others’ is most likely to be released in 2009. Hugh Dillon also served as the record producer for an album by the Canadian Rockers named ‘The Rubbers’.
It was 1995 when Hugh Dillon got his first major big screen role as he was cast in director Bruce McDonald’s movie ‘Dance Me Outside’. In the following year, 1996, Hugh portrayed the character of Joe Dick in McDonald’s Hard Core Logo. His other feature film roles include Lone Hero, Assault on Precinct 13, Ginger Snaps Back: The Beginning etc. in 2007, Hugh Dillon received nomination for Genie Award for Best Supporting Actor for his appearance on Trailer Park Boys: The Movie. For his appearance on the Sundance Film Festival award winning movie ‘Down to the Bone’, Hugh received big critical appraisal. His TV guest appearances include The Eleventh Hour, ReGenesis and Degrassi: The Next Generation etc. Hugh has also given his voice to TV and radio ads of Canadian Chevrolet.
In the Canadian mini series Durham County, Hugh Dillon was seen portraying the character of Mike Sweeney. As of now, Hugh is appearing on police drama series ‘Flashpoint’ as Ed Lane.

Hugh Dillon portrays the character of Ed Lane on ‘Flashpoint’. He’s the team leader as well as the main sniper of Strategic Response Unit. On the series, he sometimes deals with the relationship troubles with his wife Sophia and son Clark. Hugh plays one of the important characters on the series and it has helped him to earn a strong fan base.
