Season 1
season one The season one throws light on the composition of SRU (Strategic Response Unit) and way of working of its team members. The show is basically about humanity and adrenaline. The season one begins with episode ‘Scorpio’ and ends with tenth episode, “Eagle Two”. The storyline revolves around the lives of officers working under great stress and depicts how their jobs affect their mental, personal lives.
In the first episode, team deals with a disturbed man, who has killed his estranged wife and has taken hostage another woman outside an office edifice. While the team is trying to have hold over him, his son arrives there and the situation gets worse. In the same episode, Sam joins the team as a new sniper.
In second episode, father of a dying daughter, who badly needs a heart transplant, puts his life in danger to get one for her. The crisis negotiator, Greg falls into his own emotional trauma while resolving the situation.
In further episodes, a cop has been taken hostage by his furious family member. Now, team members have to act hard heartedly, putting their own feelings aside to get him released. But eventually they learn that there is another person in hostage situation, rather than the person they were thinking. In another episode, Greg again gets trapped into really tough negotiation, during a bank robbery, when he finds that robber is not the person he was assuming.
In episode, “Never Kissed a Girl”, team makes efforts to clear the name of a man who confidently claims that he has not committed the crime. But surprisingly, it will cost a team member his life to prove him innocent. The season is stuffed with many such thrilling episodes.
