In Flashpoint Season 2 Episode 2 A married couple constant efforts at bearing their own children have been proving futile for eight long years. The constant disappointment takes a heavy toll not only on them, but also threatens to break up their marriage. Things take a turn for the worse, when the wife suspects her husband of having an affair with a beautiful young reporter. Her desperation leads her to taking the drastic step of kidnapping the reporter, whom she holds as a hostage at knife point. Worse still, the reporter admits to be pregnant. When the SRU is called in to diffuse the situation, Sergeant Parker mixes with the usual order putting himself in charge of tactical defense and placing the responsibility of negotiating with the lady on Sam. Meanwhile, Sam and Jukes have second thoughts about taking their relationship ahead even though they are keeping it a secret from everybody.
